Re: manual trans in 82 camaro
yes a t10 will bolt to a muncie bellhousing or vise virsa.
if you have the short tailshaft th350, the driveshaft will work
Re: manual trans in 82 camaro
Yes you still need the torque arm. It's the 3rd link in the rear suspension. Probably be easiest to relocate it to the crossmember.
The z-bar and clutch should work with either trans. As long as the spline count is the same.

A friend of mine had a bellhousing for a muncie, but i'd like to know if any bellhousing fit third gen,the TH350 that i put in fit,it's tight, but it fit!
If muncie bellhousing is not larger tan TH350 i think it's good!
if it doesn't fit i must take a ST10 bellhousing??
Oh and last questions, shifter are they same for ST10 and muncie?
(excuse my bad english,i'm just a poor little frenchie)

Re: manual trans in 82 camaro
Bell housings for old 4-speeds are not specific to the transmission used; rather, they are specific to the type of vehicle and the engine they came in. Thus, any BH that will fit a Muncie in any particular car with any particular engine, will also fit a T-10; and vice-versa.
A 4-spd BH "fits" in one of these cars just fine. That's not whe they can't be used.
The only stock one that will fit these cars is the one from 82 4-speed Camaro or Firebird; and it must be the correct one for the engine you have (V8, 6-cyl, or 4-cyl). Ones from other cars will not work.
Shifters are usually the same between Muncie and T-10, but they require a different "installation kit" (brackets, rods, and handle).
Putting an older 4-speed in one of these cars requires non-stock parts, that you either have to make, or buy from one of the aftermarket suppliers such as Spohn or UMI (sponsors of this board).
No 4-speed except the T-10 from the 82 cars will fit without modification, because no others have the torque arm mount.

Re: manual trans in 82 camaro
Thanks to all of you for helping me!!
I think i'm gonna go for a super T10,it was the easier way to have manual transmission, and all i read on this transmission is good so.... my 350ci will be enjoyable with the super T10

IMO buy one of these http://www.umiperformance.com/catalo...roducts_id=133
or if you can't afford that you can just buy the crossmember http://www.umiperformance.com/catalo...roducts_id=299
FWIW the T-10 with use the same crossmember as a TH350
