Problem with TH700 R4

Hi! I have a problem... I broke this piece:

And so it loses oil and the car (84 Trans Am) doesn't change gear. The problem is that I don't know what is the exact name of this piece and therefore don't know where i can buy it!
Can anyone help me? Thank you!

Re: Problem with TH700 R4

They rarely crack, but burn where the band rides like yours here. Your 1-2 shift must have been pretty bad. Make sure you get a oem drum as the aftermarket ones are not flat where the band rides, but convex. A good used drum will work here, it just must flat where the band rides.

Re: Problem with TH700 R4

I found an original used here in Italy. It seems in good condition. Now I'll try to use that and meanwhile I'll get a new one. Thanks for the advice!

Just make sure that it is flat where the band rides and you will be ok. You will not need a new one.

Re: Problem with TH700 R4

I should not need it, but because here in Italy there are few spare parts is always better to have a spare so you will not have to wait for the shipment of a new one.
