i have a 89 camaro with a 305 tpi and a 700r4 with a 3.73 rear gear and normal driving it does fine shifts good and firm but when i go from a dead stop at full throttle the car dosnt want to shift till way to late and i can feel the motor start loosing power before it shifts idk how to make it shift sooner and btw it is a jasper trans and the car has a 86 camaro chip so idk if they make a difference in y this is happening

If its not the governor I bet you need a throttle valve cable. The dealer calls it a downshift cable, but thats what mine needed when it wasn't shifting till like 3k even under light throttle. Then again I still have a factory gear....
If you do a TV cable though, you do NOT have to drop the trans pan. Lowering the tail end of the trans helps, but isn't necessary.

well it shifts right any other time only when its at full throttle is when it wants to shift late
First, at what rpm are the shifts occuring at WOT now? Are the WOT shifts at the same rpm when going from 1st to 2nd, and 2nd to 3rd? I need to know this to tell you where to start making changes.
i dont have a tach but from what i can feel is that it would have to b above 4700 cause it starts loosing power in the high rpm's
