Re: entire rear end swap

Some folks swap proportioning valve for one from a rear disc car to keep the right proportion of brake fluid pressure to front/rear as it should be. Alot of folks don't bother and don't have any issues. I think that the rear disc brakes require less pressure than a rear drum brake to get the same stopping power - worse case scenerio is that you'll mash the brake in an emergency and the rears will lock before the front - which is good - locking fronts means no steering.

No need to change booster. Swap that sucker in there! Probably has better gears and posi as well if it's a disc brake rear!

Some do, some don't - there are some differnces is brake line fiting sizes over the years - worse case is that you have to cut the end off with a small pipe cutter, add the right size fitting one side or the other, and reflare it with a flaring tool.

Master, no. For best brake performance, use the appropriate combination valve as there are different biases. More info can be found in the FAQ:

You are swapping in a 9-bolt. So you will need the Proportioning valve and the Parking brake cables.

The braking systems between the 9- and 10-bolt are the same. If the rear in the 92 is a 9-bolt, it isn't original to the car.
