700R4 question
I have been trying to put a ls6 corvette engine in my camaro for a while now and have been thinking of way to do it but save some money here and there and i was wondering I have seen 700r4s being able to handle up to 600 hp with out any failures Ive been trying to find a good rebuild kit to make mine be able to handle that much beacause the new engine is going to have 525 hp and 685 torque so i dont want anything to snap free thanks

Re: 700R4 question
None of the "kits" include everything necessary, because to get that strength seems to require some machining. Even the "race" kits with the good parts.
Yes, you need the Alto Red Eagle stuff, but you also need "The Beast" sun shell? and the 5-pinion planetaries, and billet servos, and more.
The only "cheap" way to transmit that much torque is a TH400. And that brings costs of it's own.
The only cheap option is to forget the power adder, and just leave the LS6 at the 400 HP level.
