Which ujoint is better?

Well iv finally had enough of the clunking when I put my car into gear or change gears. After looking around I found it could be either my ujoint or my tranny mount, I changed my mount and while it did help but not enough so when I checked my ujoint it's stiff and it looks factory so it's time for a new one or atleast new grease. But what ujoint is better and joint to last me along time? Autozone has 2 one with a grease insert and one that's suppose to be maintaince free. Which is better?

Spicer non-greaseable is the way to go.

Re: Which ujoint is better?

OEM u-joints are non greasable. From a performance standpoint, a non greasable u-joint is strong because it doesn't have the zerk fitting. For a long life u-joint, it should have a zerk fitting and you should grease it at every oil change just like you should be doing to all your steering and suspension components.

I tend to stay away from house brands. Although they're inexpensive, they usually don't last very long. Buy a Spicer u-joint.
