after rebuild 700r4, rpm seem to vary a little bit in third gear while holding throttle steady. transmission seems to tremble a little bit. I added a corvette servo .500 boost valve and a high pressure spring. I removed the check ball from the end of the input shaft but left the capsule and removed the check ball from the rear of the case I believe it feeds the low-reverse piston. I also removed the bigger check ball from the valve body, left out the 3-4 load release springs and drilled the hole in the spacer plate like the atsg manual says. It also seems to shift into 3rd to early.

 

Uptade: I found that trembling wasn't the trans, I had a broken spark plug only the boot was holding it together. Still seems like its shifting to third to soon and it is definetly taking off in second gear, I have to manually pull it into first. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

 

I pulled the governor yesterday and its not sticking I also tried adjusting the tv cable again, it is still shifting to soon and taking off in second.

 

2-4 band stuck on wont let go until 3rd comes? check servos. maybe servo check ball probelm? that, maybe. its been a while. u might of fixed it already. id like to know what it was
