was wondering if a swap from the 82 th200 to a th 350 would be a direct swap or if the driveshaft length would be a issue will it bolt into the crossmember and will the shifter lingages line up?
also will any th350 work like out of a truck perhaps ???
just looking for info thanks

Re: th200 too th350 ?s
ya your driveshaft will work. most guys try to find a car like yours with a th200 in junk yards to take the shaft out for there swap. if its got a 700r4 trans then the shaft would be to short.
don't know about the crossmember but mine is modified so that it would work. little cutting and welding. b&m sells conversions kits also if you couldn't modify it(if it even needs modified).
its gotta have a 6 inch tailshaft(most common). a 4 inch or a 9 inch wont work with your drive shaft.
measure from where the tailshaft housing mates to the tranny case to the end of the out put shaft.

If you can find a Monza TH350 tail for the tranny it will have the required torque arm mounting points.

V8 Monza's had short tail TH350s (at least some did, that is where I got mine). No idea on the TH200 tail on a short tail TH350.
I imagine the Monza TH350 tails are hard to come by (I got mine 20 or so years ago).

B&m sells a kit for the tailshaft bracket adaptor. u would need a torque converter lockup harness and controller if u wanted to get a 700r4 trans. unless its a drag only car i would mate a 3.73 gear to a th350. 700r4s have a low first gear so 3.73 gears might be to low.

yeah i considered the 700r4 but i like the old school feel of the 3 speed no o/d its not going cross country so its good and thanks i was hoping someone made the bracket http://www.jegs.com/i/B%26amp%3BM/130/30299K1/10002/-1
ok so with this combined with a 6" shaft th350 i should be good to go Thanks everyone
