Tranny mount has to be loose. I experienced the same thing before after doing some tranny work. If you ease on the gas you dont get the thump but when you hammer it sounds like someones taking a sledge hammer to your floor.

Two things to check.
First did you get the crossmember with integral driveshaft safety loop? My loop was really close to the floor pan. I modified it for more clearance. Also check for clearance between loop and driveshaft.
Second the bolts provided for the rotator have shoulders that are too short. You need to replace them with longer bolts with the proper size shoulder. I have seen this solve noise issues for several people. You may then have to cut the extra threads off the longer bolts.

Ok I checked the tranny mount and it's tight. The tranny doesn't move when I hear the noise. Also yes I did notice that the safety loop was very close to the floor but durin inspection there was no marks telling me that it hit the floor. I sent spohn another email and hopefully I get a better response. Thanx guys for the reply

Look at the part of the torque arm where it bolts to the pumpkin; check it for hitting the floor on the side of the trans tunnel.
Very common in cars with the defective stock LCA geometry; aggravated by sagging wore-out springs and the need for LCARBs. It's part of the whole "wheel hop" syndrome these cars are born with and does nothing but get worse with age and wear, and with certain modifications.

i have A 92 CAMARO AND HAD similar symptoms. take a look on the inside of the tunnel back by the rear seat. there is a bracket that holds the fuel lines (at least in 92 models) the bolt was hitting the the top part of the torque arm on acceleration and decel. i removed one of the bolts and it took care of the problem. the top of the torque arm was a bit nicked, no biggie

Just an update for people with similar problems we found the pinion angles were off. The rear was pointing about 6+ degrees upwards. Straightened it out to about level and the sound is gone. Will have to set it all up with an angle finder but for now it is a lot closer.
