As the title states, where can I get an OEM cable. Mine is currently broken. It is ONLY 6 months old & it broke. I have read that the one's from local parts stores are crap....ok it's true!!!

All the articles I have read say to buy an OEM cable, so....I went to my local GM/Chevy dealership yesterday & they told me that the OEM one has been discontinued & they can no longer get it.....WTF??

So instead of getting another one from Advance Auto or Oreilly's, where can you get a NEW OEM shifter cable from???

 

I can tell you that I found the last new factory cable that existed in a dealer in Guam. I checked with a contact at GM and he said that was the absolute last one. Stay away from the aftermarket crap from Dorman sold at auto part stores. You would do to find a used one that doesn't have a broken collar. Try contacting Stephen at Hawks.

I just received one (used, OEM) from Hawk's. Looks to be in decent condition, cable travel feels ~smooth, oily, grimey and gritty on trans end. They're website shows they have another one on hand.

 

I have one but have to double check the condition of it...pulled it when I did my T56 swap...
