trouble with 700r4 after rebuild

i had the tranny rebuilt and after about a month the car started not shifting out of 1st or 2nd and i got in it today and it did the same. I drove down street to the end of road about 1/2 mile the speedometer was bouncing. When i stopped i turned and had to back up put it in reverse and went back about car length or so and put it in drive and when i started driving back up block it shifted to all gears. Then came to stop and took off and it wouldnt shift unless i went in reverse and didnt let car shift out of second? Im puzzled at this one please

Maybe a bit of dirt in the valve body or sticking check ball? I had a similar problem after a rebuild. Take it back to the shop that did the rebuild and explain the problem. They should have given you some kind of warranty.
