Re: corvette servo????

From what I heard it helps makes it shift smoother, but again I'm a noob as well and just spend money because it sounded better lol.

Re: corvette servo????

Heres a link showing the Corvette servo installation = http://sethirdgen.org/servo.htm

I’m sure it depends in the transmissions condition when you have it installed but "I" installed one in mine and it made a large difference in the way it shifted. Nice and firm. You can definitely feel it when it shifts and probably the best part about it is launching the car from a stop at WOT and my car will bark the tires from 1st to 2nd and chirp them from 2nd to 3rd. Nice pull that definitely got even better with the 3.42 and Eaton posi install. I don't need a shift kit. Im very happy with it.

Re: corvette servo????

ALL wrong. The 'vette servo gives more holding power. That's it. Any other results experienced are effects of that.

Re: corvette servo????

Straight from Hotod magazine write up.

Servo Assembly
The 2-4 servo assembly applies the 2-4 band. Upgraded servo assemblies have more surface area and volume to increase the holding force and yield firmer shifts. The best GM servo was used on C4/C5 Corvettes, as well as '93-and-later Camaros and Firebirds equipped with LT1 and LS1 engines. TCI sells the Corvette servo assembly under PN 376003. Aftermarket Super Hold servos are available with even more holding power. Changing the servo should be coordinated with valvebody recalibration, all matched to the intended application. Production inner (second apply) and outer (fourth apply) servo pistons can even be mixed and matched to fine-tune the feel.

Re: corvette servo????

OK, when they say firmer shifts they mean when 1st hits 2nd and when 2nd hits 3rd.
I can even feel it down shifting.
