Anyone have exact measurements for a T5 tunnel cutout?
Or do you just eyeball it? I'd like to make a very clean install.

Go to the junkyard and cut this piece out of the floor.
Then you will have a perfect install.
You will have to drill out the spot welds.

I likely won't find one of those cars around here. The scrap yards are mostly late model, very organized former shells of what they once were. I used to be able to go take what I want. Now they'll want me to by the whole car. Whats that metal frame beside it? I also had one question regarding my own tunnel. What do you guys do with the that frame work that's spot welded to the tunnel? Part of it is needed to secure the arm rest.

The small square piece is what was spot welded to the floor and has the hole for the boot screws and shifter.
Once you remove the square piece and put it up to the floor you will then know where to cut the hole.

So I managed to source out that square piece. You're saying that it will only fit the floor properly in the right spot under the car ? That would be great. I have a welder. I'd like to spot weld it in and use it as a template.

Thanks for the heads up on that frame. I cut and tacked it in today. I may be 1/8 to 1/4 inch to forward as compared to the piece of tunnel I cut out so hopefully that isn't going to be a problem. I don't have the transmission yet. Just doing all the prep work, or as much of it as I can for now.
