will converter from 96z work in 92z??

guy i know bought a vigulante conveter for his 96z now doesnt want it will it work in my 92z? thanks

Your best bet would be to contact the vendor and ask them. I would think that as long as th 96Z still has the one piece trans case and doesn't have to V-6 style input shaft it should work.

Physically, yes, but it depends on the stall if it is the right one for you. If the tranny was burned up I would not just bolt it in though.

isnt the 92 to 93-4 a 27 spline shaft....while the later is a 30 spline shaft ? How can the converter fit both ?

Let me spell this out, '82-'84 had the 27 spline and all the rest had 30 so it will physically mount up (as long as it is for a V-8). Does that make it clear?
