Probuilt

Hi all, I just wanted to let everyone know that Dana at Probuilt is still building transmissions, not just selling kits. He is almost done with a 4L60E street elite for me. I've decided to go from the 700r4 to electronic stand alone controller. BTW I'll have a probuilt street/strip 700r4 with less than 20.000 miles on it for $500.00 available in SoCal. I am so glad we have Dana!!!

Re: Probuilt

Good to hear updates on what Dana is up to. He built my 700R4 a little over a year ago and it's solid. I took it to him after my transmission failed twice within a total of 50 miles after the local builder's so-called performance build.

Re: Probuilt

I purchased a rebuild kit from him when I built my 427. I had a local shop install it per his instructions. 10 years later and the 700R4 still works perfectly. I like the way he sets up his specs. Nice smooth shifts under normal driving conditions. Yet the shifts get harder the more you're on the throttle. WOT shifts are hard and quick.

It's a 1989, code on the case is 9fmm0090. Of course it has all the upgrades that Dana puts in his street/strip build.

Re: Probuilt

my trans is still rocking from ProBuilt.
Thousands of miles, several hundred dragstrip passes (10s,11,s12s) and probably over a hundred autocross laps as well. street car all the way, no trailer either!

Thanks to Probuilt, I am enjoying all of it.

Would be interested in your old 700r4 if shipping to Kansas wouldn't be killer.
