Full Clarification, 4th gen pedals and clutch master
Hello all,
I am working on my 85 Bird. I have 4th gen pedals installed already. I plan on running a hydraulic throwout bearing with whatever trans I install- likely not a T56. I have scoured the forums and here is what is clear to me (seems to be)
- with 4th gen pedals and 3rd gen hydraulics, you have to get an adjustable master cylinder, make an adjustable rod, or move the pedal pivot point.
My simple question: If I have 4th gen pedals, can I run a 4th gen master cylinder without modification to the pedals and get the correct pivot/travel?
Additionally, it appeared that this could work as well from the thread where an adjustable bracket was made.

Thanks in advance.

Yes.
Correct.
Aftermarket CSC producers typically reference a given bore and travel needed at the master cylinder. Be familiar with yours as you move towards the mix n match game.

I had bought 4th gen pedals and master. IMO, they sucked and I hated the pedal height. I went with Hawks adjustable slave/master setup and couldn't be happier.
