Pink sauce and tranny mounts :D
Pink sauce and tranny mounts :D
Hello trans guys
Alright dropped the trans tonight so the car can get on the trailor for a paint job (woohoo!). I just put a new (used) stall in it and drove about 20 miles on it untill an engine melt down. Anywho apon pulling the drive shaft and dumping fluid all over I noticed it was pink! Pink is not good, so im assuming water got in there, now is it likely from
a.) Water in the stall when i put it on?
b.) radiator leaking into trans cooler lines?
Any Idea's? Is there a "C"?
Lastly, Time to put a poly mount in with it when it goes back up, who makes a good one, and who sells one cheap
thanks!

One of my friends had "pink sauce" in his trans when he accidently put Type F into his transmission that already was 1/2 full with DexIII. yes it looked like pepto bismol.

water in tranny
Looks like your radiator cooler is leaking and letting water get into your transmision fluid. You need to bypass the radiator and get a big tranny cooler (like B&Ms) and you need to flush your trans and hopefully it will survive, otherwise you will need a rebuild.

I was told that pink fluid was in fact the cooler was allowing antifreeze to leak inside of itself. not good, also the antifreeze attacks the adhasive that holds the friction material to the metal plates. you might be alright but if it were me I would have the trans rebuilt.
