Leaking gas tank!!

Does anyone know how to fix a leaking gas tank? I believe I knocked a hole in it when I was leaving a circle k and when my back end was going down the curb the tip of the exhaust hit the ground and was forced up to the gas tank and now I have a steady drip of gas. Do I need a new gas tank? Please someone help! Eric

a couple tubes of Seal all and some prays.
But more than likely you will need a new tank.

THIS IS ALOT OF EFFORT BUT
MANY stores have Liquid Steel in a tube.
TRY IT!
EMPTY TANK and blow area dry, scuff sand area, apply stuff, fill tank, cross fingers.
WAIT a day or longer to refill tank.
Allow stuff to Cure overnight.
Reason why YOU MAY BE LUCKY!!!!!
Our climate is VERY RUST FREE
Your tank surface is like new.
THIS PART HELPS.
It will only take long time to do this BUT can maybe save your tank, unless......
You have one of the best tanks, too, more internal baffels for road racing purpose.

Well thanks again to you guys who helped! Me and my father believe it's the filler neck that goes to the gastank. We're going to find the hole and scuff it and try and jb weld it depending on how big the hole is. I guess my car didn't leak out too much fuel because when I started her up this morning it was still at full tank. Thanks again guys!

before using ANY CHEMICALS REMOVE ALL GAS FROM THE TANK. You never can tell what reactions might be.

Elevario, why not use an epoxy designed to fill a gas tank leak? I helped my dad use a gas tank repair kit on our old '76 Ford LTD (351W motor), and that fixed the leak until we junked the car. We didn't have to drain the tank, the instructions said it was okay for gas to drip as the repair was made.

BUT- your car's a 92? You know about the filler neck leak safety recall from GM? Where's the leak again? You might get your tank fixed for free.

Thanks for the heads up camaro hunter! I better check that before I start! And TomP, I was seriously thinking about that! I knew that there was a recall on my year! I am going to try and look at it before I bring it in though. The last time I called the dealership about a seatbelt recall, they got REALLY pissed at me! Jerks. Thanks you guys!

Time to find another dealership... really. The people I went to for the seatbelt recall was the nicest dealership I was ever in. (I guess that's why they went out of business?)
