Hot DAMN I'm engaged!!
Well; I proposed to the girlfriend this Sunday!
The plans worked out so well; I kept her guessing on "could this be the day" all the way until I dropped on one knee! Our theatre tickets came "from a friend's boyfriend's mother who couldn't go, then my friend can't go, nobody else wants the tickets, do we?"
Dinner afterwards went from "You just want to hit a diner?" and the girlfriend's bummed-out answer of "no, lets just go home" and turned into taking my reservation at the restaurant of our first valentine's day!
GDamn I feel like I'm floating on air! YEAH!!! Woooo-eeee!
And the "clink" of the ball and chain around my leg wasn't that bad, either!
The only tech I can say is that the car felt stronger yesterday. I wonder why?

Hey, thanks, guys!
It feels so good (and so right) to finally be at this point! We're both bouncing around like dorks; our friends are getting a kick out of it. I just sent flowers to her work a few minutes ago; the guy said they'll get there by the time she leaves- hopefully he's right!
And MDV6, hell no, that 1/4 panel's going on- and damn soon, too!
All I need left is some tools (spot weld driller, panel flanger, air chisel or air nibbler), some time (drop my gas tank, push car into garage, cut car in half, weld new 1/4 on), and some parts (new fuel pump- might as well!!, fuel feed hose (pressure hose, special order), seam sealer, and a ton of sandpaper)! I think I'll place the order tomorrow- and maybe get a 2-day delivery so I can start some work this weekend.
Although I still have to finish my buddy's car; he's using his girl's car to get around; his car is in my garage, the damaged areas are sanded to bare metal, and the bondo work has started on one door. Gotta get his car out before I can get mine in!

Congrats.......
But
A woman scorn is like rear ending a cop and finding out he is the devil too.
What ever you do, if you decide to have a pre nup of any kind. Let her go ahead and have/own everything on paper. But the garage/tools/cars and everything in it is yours. Other wise you will be forced to sellthem all n give her half the cash value.
yes love is grand, but **** off a woman and she will fight you in court for the legal right to own your left nut.

MAN, YOU ARE A PIMP! I don't think I would have the ***** to propose. EVER. Did you start laughing when you did it? Did you try and keep a straight face?! I COULD NOT DO IT! LOL.
I'd be all stuttery and nervous, probably even feel a little sick to my stomach! Did you feel any of these symptoms? Oh, man. You just did the impossible, and I applaud you for it! I would be a nervous wreck!! Congratulations man, I wish you two the best of luck!! Although I don't think you will need it!!!
