I feel I could have shaved another .5 off those times with some cooler weather and a better launching technique. I had some room to spare with the engine I feel also...

I was dissapointed though, I had hoped for a little bit better than that. We'll see how it goes next time. If you want the full slips of all 3 runs I made today, I'll post them at a later time.

That still was not bad man . Alot of people go to the track and pull only 18s and 19 sec timeslip off of these cars . What kinda gears do you have ? ......3.73s would be nice !

hey, Eric. it was nice meeting you @ the East Coast F-body Nats @ Etown. can you guess who took home the V6 class trophy?

are you up for the GM Civil War (F-bodies VS other GM cars) event on August 17th?

running 3.42's right now, plan on going to a 3.73 gear in the future, but right now i am doing head work. going to shave the heads a little to boost compression, get new valve springs, 3 angle valve job, blah blah blah. want to get a crower cam fot birthday or christmas, and then plan on getting another high stall converter (tore my other one up bad) i want to get this car running at least 15's if not quicker, may be hard, but i am willing to try.....

I'm assuming you have a 66 nova. I just bought one (sort of) what do you have in it?

Also since I might rebuild the my tranny someday (back to firebird now) you said you have a 3000rpm converter. what do our stock converters stall at? I don't know much about that whole area.

no nova, wish i had one though, the stock converter stalls at 22-2500rpm. tranny rebuild with a shift kit will impress you

Onyx, I noticed on your home website that you won, thats killer man... I was totally launching wrong, I should have at least doubled my launch RPM and my R/T definatly needs to be improved... 1.06 isn't going to cut it anymore... but hey, at least I was consistent, 1.02 the first run, 1.04 and 1.06...

I'd love to hit E-town again, I'm addicted to drag-racing now! I want to improve my technique... I'll find that half second in technique and more with my next planned upgrades: March underdrive pullies, mild intake porting and clean injectors (Thanks cruzinperformance!).

It's too soon to tell if I'll be there on the 17th, but hopefully I will be!

someone here mentioned using a corvette servo too. someday I'll have to hook it up.

The nova I sorta bought from my dad was his parts car for the other one. Mine has a 235cid with the ever classic "3 on the tree" manual tranny. Check out the $25 krylon paint job. Looks better than the primer brown anyway.
