88 Camaro Exhaust Setup

Hey guys, I have a few questions for you! My dad has givin me his 88 Camaro. 2.8L v6 Coupe! I Love It! Only thing is I need a new exhaust setup. Do you guys know where I can get either a stock or aftermarket exhaust setup for cheap? I need everything, Y-Pipes back. Also, where can I get a radiator for cheap? Could you guys also give me some links to places where I can get parts for my camaro?? Thanx!!

i would think your best bet would be to go to your local parts store and order a y pipe for a 92 camaro 3.1. it will work. also get a intermediet pipe for a 92 camaro 3.1. put you y pipe on and intermediet pie on and connect them with a piece of pipe. that deliets the cat. then order a flowmaster 80 series muffler.

If you live in an area with emissions testing you don't want to remove the catalytic converter. And keep in mind that if you don't know how to weld, you're gonna have to have the flowmaster professonally installed. Oh, and congrats on getting the camaro!

I also forgot to say:
Begin by setting up a solid exhasut system, them move on to the valve train for mods. Hold out and save, don't just spend it cause you can. Also do not over look suspension mods. Lower Control Arms, Panhard rod. We can all benefit from better traction, yes even the 2.8.

should also be able to install the exaust urself if you use clamps. Got my exaust setup put on at minekee for nearly free, used clamps, makes it simpliar to change the setup down the road w/o more cut and welding...just a thought for anyone with a modding tendency....and clamps will hold just fine.

I'd avoid using an off-the-shelf intermediate pipe (between cat and muffler) and tailpipes. Buy the Dynomax Super Turbo cat-back, the same one Brian mentioned- you get a muffler, mandrel-bent I-pipe, and mandrel bent tailipipes. The chances of stock off-the-shelf pipes being mandrel bent is rare! Why piece together a system that'll be restricted by the pipes when you can get a kit? The kit is part # WLK-17493 from summitracing.com , don't know what the part # is from jcwhitney.com . And like '85 said, yes, you can install this yourself, in your driveway. There's no need to weld an exhaust together, clamps work just fine. Spend the extra $5 for stainless steel clamps, and you can reuse them forever.

Is your stock y-pipe damaged?
