Idea... lower the front of you 6 with springs...
the rear end carries as much weight as 8cyl cars... 8cyl springs should work to lower the rear of the car... but what if you were to buy 4 banger springs and put them in the front of the car?

I'd think V8 springs would raise the front of the car, since they are supposed to be holding up more weight. Could be wrong though. But I would think either that or no difference at all, definately not lowering.
There are people on here who cut their springs, or ordered Eibach springs and cut them.

The weight on the rear of our cars should be the same... because all the weight difference with a different engine is in the front... so V8 lowering springs would probably work, or yes at least have no effect except for the stiffer ride...
I4 springs in the front though... those little motors didn't weigh crap, and I'll bet our 6's would push them down...
Now does anyone work at autozone or some crap like that around here that can look up numbers?

like I said in a post many moons ago, get the 6cyl springs for the manual w/o a/c. these are a good 6-8 inches shorter than a set for an 6cyl auto w/ a/c.

i think the stock springs r just as good dont want to lower the car any more than it is already got paint chipin in my front end.

when I put the 14"rims back on the car, I'll push it out & take a pic. you tell me how the stance looks. & remember, the front springs allready have 1 coil off of them.

I have a suggestion.
I was looking through one of my summit catalogues, and found a package that came with drop spindals, and then you could buy lowering springs for the back.
Just think no worries about car looking weird, cause the front has no V-8 lowering springs in there...Just a thought.

Go to your local racetrack and find out where the drivers buy their springs. You can buy springs in different lengths and strengths . Most stock cars that cant use the tube frame front ends in their classes are using the camaro/firebird front clips.

If you buy V-8 springs for the frt, it will jack up the frt end.
We put Eibach prokit springs on my car and it raised it higher then factory springs in the frt. So we cut off half a coil in the frt. I would not recommend cutting stock springs as they are not progressive and removing any material with cause you to bottom out. The Eibachs are still performing well after being cut. We cut it with a cut off wheel to keep the heat low as to not effect the temper. Now the frt is slightly lower then the rear, but it is hardly noticible.

At the time I got my springs, we had had no luck finding v-6 spings. That why I took that route.
