Stock Injectors for '91 3.1L?

Does anyone have teh GM part number, flow ratings, and original manufacturer for the OEM injectors in a '91 191 CID V-6?

Beyond that, anyone know where I can get a used-but-nice set? (That would just be the icing on the cake.)

I don't have the part # or flow rating. But I do know that the 3.1s received Multec injectors.

For a good set, I would send a used boneyard set to Rich Jensen at cruzinperformance.com so he could clean and flow test them.

The 2.8l & 3.1l (191cid) have 15#/hr injectors.

The 3.4l have 19#/hr injectors.

As mentioned by MDv6man the 3.1's are GM Multec's.

Can't help with the part number.

RBob.

I thought that the 3.4l came with 17's??

(160x.50) / (6x.80) = 16.66

You best bet would be a pull-a-part yard, and then send them off to be cleaned professionaly.

Trust me, you dont want to buy from the dealer or any parts place. 45-70 bux an injector. You can buy a used set, have them cleaned and tested, and have better then new.

I've got a set in my garage, yanked from a '90 3.1L, I assume they'd be the same part #. I'll go take a peek at 'em tonight, and let you know. Got them, and the fuel rail they're in, for $10 from a wrecking yard.

Thanks for the replies. They definitely are Multecs by their shape. I just haven't been able to pull them out to get a number. I'd like to have a spare set on hand to send to Cruzin' Performance before I jump in head first. I won't even mess with injectors without having Rich check them out first. To me, it's a no-brainer (which is just my speed) any time you pull injectors. They are probably more important than having clean spark plugs, and I won't hesitate to send them in just because they're out.

I just wish I lived a little closer so I could walk them over there. Besides, I'd like to see his shop.

Tom,

I was thinking of getting some bone-yard injectors and sending them in, but I wanted to verify the compatibility first.

hey guys, is it possible to use the 3.4L injectors on a 2.8L engine? I figured if the engine has enough cam and head flow, the extra injector flow would help performance. And, yes, i realize the need for a custom chip. Will the 3.4 injectors fit on the 2.8L fuel rail?

They should swap. I have tryed 97 dodge injectors, and 97 ford injectors in a 3.1l fuel rail, and It looks the same as the 2.8l rail. The 3.4l rail looks a little diff up top, but they all should interchange.

A '91 Camaro SC with the 3.1 V-6. Stock Multecs are getting too low on resistance and won't always fire. Probably the solenoid insulation dissolving issue again.
