my first race!

my first race!

tonight i had my first real race. see my friend has a volvo and ever time we hit a light he floors it, toying with me. and i really dont do much only because when i first got my car we where lined up and i hit the gas and he started to gain on me so i cut it down to make it look like i was not trying to race. Only because i dont want to make my self look stupid with a nice car and no speed. so ya anyway today i said fine i will race u (chance to test out my mods, and this time put the gas right to the floor) so ya we hit a light and i kill him by like 5 car lengths would have been more but i said f#$k it and cut him off. it felt so good to punck him like that. So ya just thought i would tell u all. his car is 145 hp stock, it was just rebuilt and he just got a k&N filter.

Cool, bet it felt good

Last night i was on the highway doin like 85 when all of a sudden this Mitsubishi Lancer pulls up next to me, accelerates then cuts me off. I goto the left lane, and look over at him, and then we both took off. My spedometer only goes to 110, but it felt as though i kept accelerating. But anyhow i beat him pretty badly, after i beat him, i went to like 90 and he just lagged behind lol

I've seen it, in LA, end up that way.
I only do it to save decent road space for myself or get to an exit.

It'd be so racist to tell ya the ratio of people & vehicle that shouldn't have bought their license at K Mart.
Or what vehicle or gender does the most idiotic driving style in the largest vehicles on earth while yaking on the freaking phone.
Freaking a$$holes & Putting on make up too!

I mean you do have a very good reason to drive erratic if your passenger is giving ya a bj, tho!

oh ya it did feel good! but i learned that mods do make a diffrence before i never thought it did aything, but man they do. oh and it was like 1 in the morning on a dead road so i would not kill no one or my self just get a speeding ticket.

Yep, Yestraday I raced a Early 3rd gen camaro with chicks in it. IT probally had the 2.8, and i beat them by 2 car lengths.

Then I raced a.... TOPAZ!!! lol! that was funny... 2 car legnths again.. Ps (only race from 0-100km/h)

On Friday I raced a Precidia from a 45km/h roll, thats my sweet spot a pulled a car length on him to 100km/h then let off.

I raced a v6 Gran Prix on Friday too, Beat him in first gear then he let off and turned

Raced my UNCLE. He has a 90 sum Ford Truck. With a 351. He beat me by 1 car length. HE has about * Horsepower: 200 @ 3800rpm
* Torque: 300 @ 2800rpm Weighs about 4,000.

And i Got beat by a Turbo ford probe...
We both spun like mad off the line, cause i started to do a brake stand lol. He poped the cluck we both spun almost all the way through the intersection, were pretty even but my nose was ahead a little bit. When he and I gained trackion a bout sec's later we had to let off cause of cars. at about 70km/h he had 1 car length on me... Not too bad eh?

I forgot to Add,

Pulled up beside a Beretta at the lights.
It was a Blue Beretta,
Him and his chick were in the car.
Me and my 2 friends were in my car.

He had a stick so he took me off the line through the intersection. I hit the sweet spot in 1st gear and started to reel him in, I caught up and slowly passed him going about 70km/h then let off at about 140km/h having him by 2~ cars. HE tried it again from a roll and i took him by 1 car.

I tried to race a riced out civic, but the combination of his giant wing and body kit with his quad turbo 6000hp shot of NAWS caused him to lift off and fly away never to be seen again.

yea...racing is good...as long as you don't do it stupidly...to chime in with some of my racing days...beat my girlfriends galant the other nite...she continually tried to tell me she was faster...now i've driven that car...nice off the line...no pull after that...so i took her off the line right away and moved...later on we were on the highway and she was following me...then she got the idea to try to pass me...i heard her car winding up...i dropped to D then moved...couldn't hear much anymore cause of road noise/muffler/radio...and just zoomed by her...good times when ya beat a jap car...also beat my friends 89 2.8 bird a couple times...

recently i have had like 4 races i think
i saw a crx that didn't want to let me pass(i hate those)
then he floored it. and after about 5 seconds i floored it.
i just whistled as i passed him smoothly.

today i had an old accord come up out of nowhere and cut my @$$ off(I got pissed) and took the other lane, whereas he floored it a helluva long time before me(back when he switched to pass me and cut me off) i pulled another crx and just smoothed on by him.

i had a closer race with a v8 truck, we were running already(not racing) just not off a start, roughly at like 60 he floors it and i notice, i floor it. and we stuck, then i started to gain very very little but i gained none the less, but before i can really see how much of a gain i can take on him, i saw an unfriendly red light, so we had to cut the power. that was fun.

i had a race with a TBI i start off with him at about 80 and he starts to move in closer to me, but by nothing(i already left him behind in the first place) at 90 i think our accelerations cancelled each other out, but then as i pulled over 120 in my v6 (yes i know the limitor is supposed to kick in, but it dosen't, it did it only in the begining with the 2.8L and then stopped. i pulled off prolly 130 in my 2.8 and 3.4) i left him behind. (Crappy V8)


I have taken a 5.7 Trans Am GTA before, but that engine was in the worst shape i have ever seen, i can't take him off a start, but i slap him around and call him susan at top end just like a TBI

we take to much crap about having 6banger irds but guess what folks? they aint slow these stories make me feel even better that we build cars that companies don't make tons of parts for like the cold air intakes homemade for 4$ oppose to 250 for a name brand

another car again today a stupid honda crx sees me and he flys down the road to catch up to me and roll up along side of me, what a retard! anyway i figure i just punk him a bit so he floor it and boom i hit the gas, made him feel so stupid, it was a waste of gas but for some one to go though all that effort i may as well right. easy kill there.

You beat a CRX?? Not to sound like I'm dissing our cars, but..what the hell did you do to yours? Lol...I've got a 3.1 liter with exhaust and other stuff and I figure I'll have a hell of a time beating any decent CRX with a decent driver... Then again, the older ones probably weren't very quick...

well first we where both goin like 50 kph when we started and it was the older hatch back ones, fresh paint and all. Trust me man no joke i had a girl in my car that can prove it but ya i am telling ya my 6 aint that slow. well since i fixed the problem i had with it and did a couple things to it. is there a why i could check to see if my motor was changed??

Changed like, from a 2.8 to another 2.8? I think there's a number stamped somewhere on the engine, sort of like a VIN on a car...I'm sure you can match the two up somehow. Makes sense to me. If you're talking about the motor being changed completely, to another type...well, you can usually tell them apart, especially if it's a V6. Cake. The 2.8's, assuming yours is EFI, has a plenum that has a circle stamped in the middle with a 2.8 label on it. The 3.1's have the same plenum but it's unlabeled and without the circle. 3.4's...well, couldn't say but, yeah, they're newer motors so you should be able to tell.

your bird is a 82-84 right??? if there's no carb on it then it was changed, if it is a carbed six it could be the priginal or a replced 2.8

i dont know how much hp my car has. its not a fast car but its not that slow. i have a custom y pipe, with a hight flow converter, 2 1/2" pipes with a flow master, a k&N filter, custom cai, advance timeing, some turbonator thing i got for free, my motor was just rebuilt not to long ago if that make any diffrence. but i did take out the crx if i look out my pass mirror i could see his front bumper, and i did not race him from a stop. next summer i will when i put my v8, lol. what are the old crx stock cant be that high?

Nah CRX's didnt make much power but they're a hell of a lot lighter. And ice, you've got a more extensive mod list than I thought! And...jesus, you've got a turbonator? Lol, that's the electric supercharger right? I'm glad you didnt pay for it!!!! Is it hooked up and working? BTW, how'd the timing advancement work for ya? Did it get quicker off the line? I'm doing that soon and keeping my fingers crossed. I looked for the damn distributor holddown bolt but couldnt find it! Windshield glare this afternoon plus after-work blurry vision....not to mention the engine was way hot from the drive home and kept pluming heat in my face as I had my head like a dummy about an inch from the back of the plenum.
