3.1 chip

i would greatly appreciate any information that anyone could give on burning chips. i've read most of the 'sticky' post on this subject but i'm still pretty much lost. I have a 91 RS 3.1L. I am putting a Hi Po engine in it and am going to try to run the TPI setup but am assuming that it will not run too good with stock chip. Please help! can you burn the stock chip or not? Thanks in advance for any help!

I'd suggest going over to the DIY_PROM board and just reading though the posts for a while. There is also a sticky at the top of that board that will answer a lot of questions.

To get you started the ECM you have is the 1227730 or '730 for short. Has a removable calpack that includes the EPROM. Can reburn that EPROM although I don't suggest it.

When it comes time to tune Tunercat has the code definition file for that mask ($88).

RBob.

or do it the old fashioned way...
data record and reveiw. You can find holes in the BIN/Program easily.
Yes your reprogramming from scratch, dealing with teh stock bin, but hell thats what has to be done wayway.
