91 3.1 won't start

ok I have fuel, injectors each flash a test light, I have spark at plugs, but will not run. plugs when removed are wet. They light timing light, inline tester, and make spark when laid out and grounded.
I have 40psi fuel, and it holds when engine shut off. I pump 3 pints in about 20 seconds. I have no codes when grounding the connector except 12.
I have disconnected the tach wire to no avail. I shoot the timing light at the crank markings, and the spark is in that ball park as well.
What could it be? I bought this white conv new and have 140K trouble free miles. It has been rock solid.......til now
Please help me get my baby back on the road again spring is just around the corner!!
thanks,
Don

How bright/color is spark??
How welly charged is battery?? Sometimes it is enough to spin/crank but still wont fire.

I'll give ya the hint ya need.
We've been there,
UNLESS YOUR SPARK JUMPING FROM THE PLUG WIRE TO YOUR TEST GROUND SURFACE
IS
LIGHTENING BOLT BRIGHT WHITE,
YOUR PROBLEM IS IGNITION
AND
IT
SEEMS
90% of the time
It's a bad worn out coil (Heat from exhaust manifold kills it)
I use a remote mount coil set up on my Firebird & my Blazer.
Works wonderful.
Honest
Test spark with a paperclip in a plug wire grounded somewhere under the car hood at nighttime
ANY SPARK COLOR LESS THAN LIGHTENING BOLT BRIGHT WHITE,
you found the problem

thanks for the responses. Well guys! I am going to verify the spark. I have replaced the coil, module, and ignitor pickup. I had purchased wires, cap, rotor, and plugs to install since I have never changed the wires cap or rotor in 140,000! The inline test light only flashes yellow, but the plug always seems bright white.
I have had trouble grounding the plug sometimes, so I checked the cylinder head ground and the wire on the block from the battery. I even measures ohms between the battery and the head.
I am beginning to wonder if starter is pulling too much amps. would the wire still fire a timing light if the starter was killing it? I don't know.
I am keeping the battery fulling charged so engine cranks fast.
I don't know cannot work on it for a couple of days. I am just glad it died in the drive so it is in the garage!!!

still down
OK it is still down, I have super bright spark, so I decided to change the timing chain set because I had bought it to do before all this happened. and thought maybe it had jumped time. Not so, but it was stretched a little........imagine that 140,000 miles. ha ha
I noticed that the instructions say to line up marks like they all do. It also says that #1 and #4 will be at TDC with #4 in firing position. I always thought that TDC meant #1 firing.
The distributor instructions say to put at TDC and place rotor between #6 and #1.
What is up with that?
anybody?

if you have a v6, the dot on the cam must be all the way at the top.
the dot on the crank must be all the way up as well.
this setup is #1 TDC
If you have the dot on the cam at the bottom and the dot at the crank up top, you have #4 cylinder ready to fire at TDC.

I wouldn't bother moving the rotor, unless you have the distributor out, sorry forgot to mention that.... the rotor should just fall right into place once you have it lined up.

i was having problems getting my 91 3.1 to start also. after cranking for a minute, it would start (used to fire almost instantly). i checked the fuel pressure, it didn't seem to be quite where it needed to be so i changed the fuel pump, still wouldn't start easily. changed the fuel filter, still no luck. changed the coil, just fine now. i went ahead and put a MSD on it cause it was only like $40 and i figured that probably wasn't much more than AC Delco (which i never actually priced). no problems now though.
