There are a lot of good pictures.
I don't want to insult you, just give you some constructive critizism.

You need paint.
Those rims have no way to look good. Try to find a nice set of directional rims from a Formula.
Interior needs seat covers.
Get a set of newer tail lights off ebay.
Lose the skull shift now (In my opinion)

But the positive parts of your car:
You have a car ( I am searching again...I had an 87 and like a dumbass sold it)
Its body looks to be good and straight(Ie little rust), just sun faded paint.
You have a T-top car,
Has a manual

So just some thought on your car. I see it as Camarokied88's car, the car has potential and I am sure you have lots of plans for it.

yeah its got a little rust on it, just surface except for bottom corner on drivers door it loooks the worst but isnt bad at all. my idae for paint is Sunset Metalic Orange (like Crazyhawaiian)
i also wanna get one of those notchback kits for it and i plan on rebuilding the 2.8L...the reason i want to rebuild the 2.8 is cuz of my funds arnt too high. interior im not sure what im doing with that, i plan on ripping the dash apart to find the leak and then figure outt he interior. thx for the input joe_L

i aslo dont plan on loosing the skull cuz i like it lots

The leak could be coming from either your T tops, and running down the A pillar, or it could be coming in at the base of your windshield. You might not be able to pinpoint it exactly, but let the car dry out, get inside and crawl under the dash, and have a friend spray the car down with a garden hose.

The rear hatch is obviously off of a camaro with that small spoiler section on it. I think that I would loose that and try to find a later 3rd gen factory Trans Am or Formula wrap around spoiler and put it on there. You could get yourself some carpet from Classic Industries or J.C. Whitney or somewhere after you get your leak stopped, and then get yourself a set of 4th gen Firebird or Camaro seats to bolt in. That would have most of your interior looking really good. Classic industries also had shift boots for your car. I agree that a set of Formula wheels would look good on there. They are 16 inch by 8 inch, and you can usually get a complete set for about 200 or maybe even less. Be sure to get the center caps, because they are expensive to buy individually.

Looks like you have a good start on your dream car. The car looks to be solid, and most of your first upgrades can come from other cars that you find in the junkyard (seats, tires and wheels, spoiler). Good luck with your car.

well the car seems to be in decent shape, and it will be alot of fun fixing it up,
the wheels would look really good if you paint the grey parts black, then pick up 4 14" chrome rally wheel covers.
thats what i did and man they look good, the look like GTA rims, as for the leek its mostlikly coming in from where the window wipers are, thats where mine was leeking the guy i bought it from put some gumbo where they come up and out of the body.

any way thats my imput
have fun man

good color

good project,

Its probably real easy to find a replacement motor, especially since you staying with the 6 banger. Probably cheap too !

I like the vinyl flooring. Easy to clean and cheap

The original color is the best, consider sticking with it with the repaint.

amazing that it has 235k on it and is still in one piece.

I would find a truck stop that has a steam cleaner first and do everything, top, bottom, motor and those seats !!

then find the leak..

How much did you pay for it?

Well, it appears to be in far better shape than my Iron Duke Camaro was in. Do you like that steering wheel???? Does it run good?

i paid $700 for it. yeha i like that steering wheel alot its comfortable to use IMO thats why i put it on (it looks like crap tho) i duno if i would tay with the stock colour or not, i want a head turning car eventually and im not sure if that blue would turn heads. i like the camaro hatch their right now though, but when i do but when i do change it it will be one of those notchback kits, also about these hubcaps, are their ones out there that look decent enough to put on?...but yeah i duno it has a rough idle...i havent started it in 3 months cuz the batts dead and its too cold outside to do anything but thx for the input all.

So...what are your plans for this? Drop a V-8 in there maybe? Or keeping it a 6 for a while?

The leak is probably from your cowl area. Water can get through the windshield wiper screen and sit in the seam that is on the firewall. I would check that out and see if there isn't some sort of rust hole or grim collecting there and sitting.

Also check below your fan motor in your engine bay on the passenger side. Check and see if there is leaves and crud below the fan motor. Over time it will rot a hole in the fire wall....

this is coming from experience....
