this time i revved up closer to 5k, anyone know if thats normal for a 3.1L to sound like that w/ a free flowing exhaust or do i have a problem?

Nice ride. I see you like to shine it up. I like the Exhaust tips too.
Exhaust clip was good; nice sounding V-6.

soundsl ike it's a v6 thirdgen to me. Did u buy the real flowmaster muffler, or the muffler they sell at minekee that it supposedly flowmaster but by a different name, maybe magnaflo or something. My minekee was going to sell me an offbrand performance muffler that is apparently "identical" to flowmaster, so i went to a performance shop, bought a 80 series, had my buddie at minekee do a 2.5 in I-pipe setup and install the muffler. Sounds good, think mine might sound a lil' louder, but on a computer, that's all dependent on how loud u have the thing turned on. LOL. So, i'd definatey have to say, good sounding car. What'd u use to do the sound file? need to do one myself.

the muffler is the top of the line mieneke performance muffler, supposedly a flowmaster but not a "real" flowmaster. same basic design tho. I got a high flow cat and 2.5 I pipe too, no mandrel bends however. Does yours sound that raspy and poppy too? it only does that on mine in neutral, when im driving it sounds a lot better under load. it is pretty loud and has a nice deep mellow sound at idle, but that goes away when u rev it.
to get the clip, i basically hung my webcam out my window and pressed record

recorded a movie file w/ my webcam sitting on my window sill with the car 10-20ft away then just stripped the wav part of the video and cut it down to just the exhaust part.

Do you have a CAI on your car? It sounds like it's kinda gasping for air when you let off the gas from revving it. Sounds good though! Sounds just last a Flowmaster as far as I could tell you! Below are some of mine that I recorded with my PDA. (Kinda crappy recording)
Idle Starting from driver side, then walking to back
Revving to about 4k or so recorded from driver side

no i still got that restrictive old stock air canister, i swear the air hole on that thing is just a little bigger then a half dollar. i'll try revving it with the whole intake arm disconnected temporarly to see if it helps at all, but thats when it stops snowing. crazy weather.

on another note, nice ride!! i had the identical car (sig), except i had the med. beechwood interior. which i have "heard" isn't as "common"....and all the power options except hatch release and cruise. i would definately suggest adding blackouts to the back. it makes our black TA style cars look awesome.
nice ride!
