Here's the 85 T/A my bro picked up for $600, its a 305 TPI, doesn't pass smog, leaks oil, but the tranny's been rebuilt. Oh yeah, it has no headliner yet.

Yes, its the V6 board, so as you see, there's my bird next to the T/A.

Interior in the process of being cleaned. It was a smoker car, so we spent the whole day cleaning and steam cleaning the inside.

Here's the only damage to the car, and my dad was able to pop it back out w/ his hands.

Yes, this is the original 85 paint job, from Van Nuys.

To make this a tech post, does anyone know the most common places for oil to leak on the 305? Does it have the distributor O ring like the V6 does?

Gasket would fix that leak, too!
No pass smog?
Want a place?
I'll bet it needs a timing chain, if the current engine runs!
I LOVE that high tech modern hood prop!

We found out that SOMEONE overfilled the crankcase and that's part of the cause of the oil leak. OH and previous owner's husband left lots of ignition parts (and many more: door seals, hypertech chip, more goodies, 85 Service manual!) in the trunk, new cap, new ignition module, so we'll prolly put in the ignition module next week w/ a new o ring. Gotta go borrow a timing gun.
