turbos on V6

ok here's the deal. Do tubochargers attach to the exhaust or to the air induction unit? After seeing several pictures it looks like there are types for both.

Every turbo connects to both.

Ok, first things first, go get Maximum Boost by Corky Bell. I think it'll answer 99% of your turbo related questions in there

Turbo's use the exaust to spin the turbine. (Instead of a belt like a supercharger.)

That's why, in theory, turbos can "spin up to infinity"- a supercharger's speed is limited to that of the engine.

Yep... also, a turbo isn't boosting all the time... just above a certain RPM which is above cruise speed in most cases... which means better gas mileage than a supercharger...

Plus, with a boost controller, you can change your maximum boost pressure on the fly if you're not using it, i.e. limiting it to 3 psi while commuting, thus further increasing gas milage.. press a button, and you've got 10 psi max.. or 25.. depending on how insane you are... *evil grin*

plus those turbos are powered by your exhaust gasses. Higher rpm, more exhuast, turbos spin faster, more boost, more power.
