$3000 headers? The ones I saw were much cheaper than that, and compare in price to quality v8/TPI headers. Can't get somethin' for nuthin' unless you make it yourself...

I wonder how much the original Hedman headers went for, before they were discontinued due to lack of purchasing interest.

$3000? Why don't you look again- $315 is reasonable for something that no one else makes, heck $315 is reasonable even if someone else made them also. I am not interest in selling any of my sets but if I decide to ever they will not go for any less than $500 for a set and thats doesn't include any y-pipe either. These things are rare and discontinued- good luck finding any.

Yeah, 3 g's is a complete rip off for a set of headers. Even a custom set should be less than 500.00. Where did you see the 3 g headers????

Are them ripe off $400 dollar headers still not selling so making up new user names with stupid question might just get the interest flowing?????

not, you used the wrong forum to jack idea's from.

Dude, they're not rip off's! What's wrong with you guys??? Sure they're expensive, deal with it!! If you guys can't afford 'em, then start a savings account. Put $100 from each paycheck into the savings account. You'll have $450 in no time- or if you don't want stainless, you'll have the $315 even faster. (Why anyone wouldn't want stainless is beyond me...)

It's like someone bitching because Rockford Fosgate car amplifers are sooo expensive compared to Pyramid amplifiers. You can't get Rockford Fosgate sound quality for Pyramid prices. Yet, oddly enough, people still buy Rockford Fosgate, even if it is more expensive then Pyramid.

Heck, even if you were to buy the 3.4 Pacesetter headers to make them fit the 2.8/3.1 (as 3.1Firebird did a lonnng time ago), you'd be dropping $200 for the Pacesetters. Then you'd be spending your time modifying them, and if you don't have the right tools, it'll be hell.

Granted, I won't be buying them; I have a set of the originals that are waiting to go on- hopefully this summer- but If I didn't already have a set, you could bet I'd own a pair by now.

Lol, it is funny. There is only 1 vendor making headers for our v6's and for the quality and workmanship 400 bux isnt bad at all for a great quality part. I'm not trying to be mean but gessh people either go to a local exhaust shop and see how much they will charge for a custom set of headers to be made or make them yourself for a cheaper price and quit the complaining. Or buy the 400 dollar headers and not have to make them yourself.
