HUGE SCORE from the '88 Firebird parts car!!
The '88 Firebird 2.8 parts car arrived safely today. Now it's time to begin stripping parts off of it for my '91 3.1 Firebird. I got the car for the small sum of $100 from my buddy's girlfriend.
Here is the list of parts we have so far...
Engine/Tranny:
Rebuilt Tranny from December '00
New Radiator and Water Pump
Plenum
Valve Covers
+ Many other new parts
Interior:
Driver and passanger side seatbelts and pully's
1 Firebird wheel in poor condition
An actually working cigarette lighter (outta come in handy)
My friend took the spoiler off and put it on the trunk of his '92 Dodge Shadow. It looks stupid but it's creative
Also, to somebody in my last post who was restoring their 85 2.8 Camaro, I have the bucket seats from the back. They are starting to tear up and are dirty. eMail me if you are interested. You can have them for the cost of shipping or maybe make a trade for something!
Thanks, Firebirdjoe

my dad has an 87 dodge shadow. he put a knight rider light in the grill. looks goofy, especially since the car is three different colors.

Hey Nate, you got mail!!
XopherTony, that looks sweet as hell on that Shadow. At least it's not riced out, so it's all good! My buddies shadow looks like crap, the car is red, lot's of rust, and a metallic blue Firebird spoiler that is off-center...
Thanks, Firebirdjoe

I rpaed, err, salvaged a huge amount of parts from the thing: front & rear carpets, rear bottom seats, center arm rest pad, remote hatch switch, various screws, 88 style tail lights, and the gauge cluster which doesn't have provisions for a speedo cable, even though it goes up to 120
. SOme other stuff too. I could have gotten the grey interior panels, but didn,t need them.
edit:
Here's a link to all the good stuff

I wish I could have a parts car. I have no room for one. And the neighborhood council forbids me from having one on the street, especially if its not running and not intact.

Why does everyone block out the licence plate in thier photos? Everyone can see it when you drive down the street- so whats the big scare having it on the internet?
