Exhaust Problem...........??

Ok, we located the problem of why the car was running like crap, apparently there was a hole in the exhaust and the oxygen sensor needed to be changed.

I was told that by two people that I need a new pipe for the muffler....?? So we have to take it up to Car-X to get it installed and get the muffler back on the mounts.

Now heres my question, Right now the car sounds like 10 Harley Davidson's reving up... Car-X is 4 miles away, would you drive the car up there or have it towed to risk a ticket??

Drive it!

People will just think it is a V8. It is not really that much louder. We cut my 6 at the Y and I loved the sound. If I did not live in a smog state I would have ran it out the side and left it.

If you get any weird looks just throw an arm up and rep that 6 like you paid for it.

You are not allowed to say RR-II-CC-EE?

What is up with that? When did that get ranked in the same category as F-U-C-K?

Come on!

F-U-C-K is waaayyy cooler then RR-II-CC-EE.

(hahaha, sorry if I offended anyone, but come on now!)

Man, You cannot even put dashes. Is it that big of a problem?

I still win!

i think it is bogus that we cannot say the "R" word too, but posting profane things like that, while funny can get you into some trouble with some of the modsno one cares about RRIICCEE, but everyone cars about ****

btw i would drive it, if you do get stopped just say that it is only four miles to the muffler shop and you are not rich enough to afford to tow a car for 80 bux if he is a nice piggy he will let ya slide

Here's something that may help. The hole is in the pipe? Cut open a soda can. Get some wire and remove the rubber insulation from it. Place the soda can over the hole, and tie the wire around the soda can/hole to keep it in place. It should quiet it down a bit.

In the stores here they sell "muffler wrap"; it's meant to patch holes. It wraps around pipes/mufflers and seals the hole- but it's $5. A soda can and wire is usually free!

i dont think you can be busted if youre taking it to get fixed. all they will do is write you a "repair and report". i found out from experience w/ friends.... three times, lol. at least thats the way it is in michigan. but id just drive it, more than likely if you tell them thats where youre going, theyll be decent about it, tell them to follow you if they want to.

Drive it. IF you get puled over, well, you're in the process of getting it fixed.
