this isn't the section you want...check out the V6 board if you want ideas for modding your engine...good luck with your car, it looks nice

does no body see what i see here? That has to be the nicest looking non-gfxed camaro i've seen in quite some time. Beautiful car, looks great and factory-ish. I'm up for all those same mods listed above, the 2030 sometimes is considered to "mild" by some, and a more aggressive cam is desireable, do a lil' searching just about every major cam company makes performance cams for our cars so it's not hard to find one. The Q is will it work with the computer, tehre'd be nothing wrose then spending all the time putting a cam in only to discover that it screws the comp so bad that it won't run right, ever. You'd probably find more power w/ 10 lbs on a 2.8L but the nitrous will most likely be cheaper, so that's just a "what ya wanna do" if you're gonna do the real deal 2.8 setup, lee can probably help you find out what you're needing, build urself a good platformed engine with all the forgies then swap that one into your ride and equip the turbo charger, your power gains will be incredible.

P.S. Welcome to the boards

Wow, AGood, I never realized you had GFX...

I'm kinda partial to them, personally, but I'm not adding them to the '86 due to an urge to be **** about weight.

This car is a limited edition Calif RS. They were only offered in Calif in '87 and came from the dealer they way you see it (Except the '87 Chrome Irocs I added) Paint is original from the dealer! Most don't know its only a V6 unless I tell them. It intimidates the heck out of most Fords. Some do know their engine tones though, but very few.

Thank you, thats what I thought when I bought it. It is definately different, however it does match the body lines well. I am actually amazed I haven't seen more paint schemes simular over the years. Heres a better side shot of the stripes going up over the rear.
Edit: theres that 100 mph antenna again

All very nice cars. I persoanlly like the GFX, I think most people do. Non GFX package cars just look naked to me but I have a factory N-GFX car with GFX now but everyone likes thier cars different.

Agood, Ive seen a car with the same paint as yours in a bone yard a few years back, nothing I needed on it so I dident pay much attention to it. Dident know they were factory like that, just thought someone painted it.

It wasn't "factory paint" It was "dealer paint"- This car was the "87 Calif edition car the dealer recieved- They custom stripped it and displayed it in their showroom.

Not flaming just tired of agood with his "better than most" thought process. All i was saying is i think cars without gfx look better. Some say cars with gfx look better. He comes back at me with the negativity as he does alot on here. Seems like he has a hard time taking in peoples opinions, ive seen him act like this over and over on here. Anyways. To the starter of this thread, nice car, dont ever get gfx if your thinking of it.

I don't come off telling people this "sucks" or that looks like a "d****".

What I have done is try to explain to people the better way to go with things and explain why- Unfortunately that seems to offend some people because (fact is) nobody likes to feel they have wasted their money on something. My opinions are always based on facts and experience- which I happen to have alot of when it comes to 3rd gens- (suspension wise- my opinions have been strongly backed/endorsed by Steve Spohn himself)- you want proof- Ask, I'll find the quote)

My statement on the MSD post was NOT that they sucked!
My opinion on the MSD post WAS that they are simply redondant, and not necessary if the other componants are shipshape.
