My car make a weird sound when accelerating...
When I press on the gaz, I now hear a sound kinda like a baby that is crying or whatever... Is it the alternator? How much it cost to get replaced? Is there any model or I can take an original replacement? Thanks

You say you hear it when you accelerate, but is this only when the engine is under load? crying, or wining sounds are often belts, although the brushes in the alternator will give a similar sound if they're failing . Try making the same sound by popping hte hood and moving the throttle, then see if you can findout exactly where it's coming from.

I hear it only when I hit the gaz pedal a little, when I don't touch It, I don't hear it... I already changed my serpentine belt this summer. I have a 1989 Firebird 2.8L auto

LOL! Hey my friends tell me that when I say "gas" it sounds like I say "Gaz"... go figure. Anyway, did you try revv'ing the engine from under the hood? Don't get caught in the belts (hair/clothing/jewelry/etc), of course...

I just did it, I hear the sound I heard from the inside, I'm 99% sure it's the alternator now. Thanks for the help and bitching all...

Hey how did you know my name? Wait...
If you want to make absolutly sure it is comming from the alt. use 3 - 4 foot section of a broom handle and put it on the alt and your ear on the other end. It will help isolate the sound. Or get a mechanics stethoscope. You can get them for about $5 and work better.

It could be an injector. I know when I put my intake back on the one time I didn't push the fuel rail down enough and it sounded like a horrible screaming sound.
