my motor seems to have developed a bad noise. it sounds like a piston slapping the head but it goes away as soon as you rev it up. i don't know what it is for sure though. let me know if you have any ideas. its gonna be thursday before i can pull anything apart unless it gets worse/real bad before then.

 

is it a knock knock knock?

 

collapsed lifter maybe? where is the noise primarily coming from?

 

we can't REALLY figure out exactly where the noise is coming from. we could hear it most with a screwdriver down on the top of the pass. side head, through the oil fill hole in the valve cover. i don't know exactly...gonna check tension on rocker arms, hopefully tomorrow.
