THis car needs.....what?
I just got an '87 v6 firebird for $500. NO rust and only 228k. Runs strong and well maintained. Just took it through Aircare and believe it or not it measured 0.00 on the hyrdrocarbon reading!! Oh yeay baby. You could almost suck on my tailpipe it blows so clean!!!
Anyways, how hard is it to put ground effects, tach cluster setup, and better seats in the car?

Seats just go to a junkyard and anything cool you can find in 3rd or 4th gen camaros or firebirds will bolt right in. I just put 97 camaro seats in my 89 firebird. i think chevy citation seats will fit too. probably all gm seats.... maybe. not sure though.
Not sure what you mean by tack cluster, Do you have a tach? I got the white face inlays from macewen motorsports. Unless you're talking about something else. wiring in new stuff is a little more work.
i don't know alot about ground effects. Appearance and detailing will have more on that
welcome to the board

GFX, this is not the right area, BUT...
You will need the new nose, whole thing.
The front GFX piece.
Fenders, you have to drill a few holes, and cut a few slits (or buy ones with holes in them.)
rear, buy the whole GFX bumper.
side pieces, not sure how they go on, but I'm assuming drill a few holes.

Yeah, definately check out the other forums; this is more of a v6 motor/computer/etc forum. Also get familiar with that little gray search button at the upper right of this screen; you'll be able to search for something like "seats" or "gfx" and find a ton of messages. But welcome to the forums, and congrats on the purchase!!

Hey sixbanger, where are you from? Aircare make's me think you're from BC. Maybe not. Gfx... I don't know about the Bird, but there's gfx for the Camaro out there. You can buy the whole set for a base model to make it look like the other models. Maybe there is one out there for the Bird. The cluster, check out the tech articles section on thirdgen.org. There's an article in there about swapping the dummy lights for a real gauge cluster.

Call me silly, but I think 'Birds look fine w/o GFX. Camaro's, they need GFX. Just my two cents, but it's your car, do whatever you think best. 228,000 kilometers... It's been driven, hasn't it...? But hey, my car has half of that and it has rust, go figure...

Ok......wait a minute. you mean 228,000 miles, 228,000 kilometers (didn't know you were from Canada) or just 228 kilometers (in that case, that car was a heck of a find)
