i'd guess maybe 155-160 at the crank. maybe? i don't know. about 115-120 at the rear tires, kinda depending on auto or 5-speed though.

ok....didn't remember exactly what the 3.4s were rated at from the factory. so, you've basically got some P&P work done, roller timing chain with a little advance, 1.6 rockers,... that stuff might make an extra 15 hp at the crank, 20 maybe. you gotta do something about that stock exhaust though (y-pipe), even if you keep the manifolds, you gotta get a new y-pipe. i'm no expert at guessing hp though, as far as that goes, you can guess all day and never really know. the track is the best test to go by, beats a dyno too in my opinion.

no sir, I can take a pic tonight if you wish. The "wrinkle" tube that goes from the "tpi" intake, to the TB was too short since I'm a 3.1 w/o maf, so I had to put something in its place. I gutted all, and made a strait pipe with rubber boots on each end.

Anyone else wish to guess the power output this would do?

thanks, now I know how to route the belt w/o a smog pump

I'm getting mine to look more representable.

Are them rubber pieces, the ones for pvc piping at hardwear stores? I dont like my front rigup.

yea, with no smog pump, you go: p/s pump, water pump, then alt. yea, i've been working on making mine more presentable too, it used to be all dingy and dirty under the hood. yea, the rubber pieces are for pvc; i think they are the 3" straight through ones, they will stretch or squeeze down quite a bit.

ours don't say 2.8 on top because we have 3.1s. you can get a 3.1 top intake piece if you don't like having the "2.8" on top. there is no difference in them that i am aware of. just reuse your 2.8 TB on the 3.1 intake because of sensors and vacuum line hookups.

really?? i didn't know that.

i'm running an 89.5" belt but i'm running underdrive pullies too.

the hole in the manifold? you mean the egr hook up? if so, i put a gasket on there covered by a little metal plate. i don't know of any side effects other than an occasional engine light with code 32 telling me about a egr problem (duh, its not there ) i changed that when i put my new motor in with big cam and all so i don't know how it might effect a stock motor or something close, probably wouldn't effect much.

my smog pump was gone when i got the car, i might trash the egr but what is the that thing that is on the ignition coil braket. IT has a plug going to it and vac lines? Sorry to change the subject

no, I've already blocked the egr (and get code 32).

I'm talking where the smog pump screws into.

89.5, cool, I'm running crank pully, and will occasionally be running alt pully during scca events.

brobert, I have no clue, any way to get pics?

brobert, the black cylinder that is mounted "on its side"? if that's it, its the vacuum solenoid (i think) for the egr. my smog pump was only bolted to the front of the block...i had unhooked the other stuff a while back but i don't remember anything going to the intake from it. if you have a pic, i'll look at it and see if it brings back any memories. on the belt, i might go 90". i was going to but they didn't have a 90 so i went 89.5 and it might be kinda short for the regular alt pully but should be ok with the UD alt pully on the car...i couldn't tell ya for sure.

thanks thats probably exactly what it is, my car is pretty simple, no ac, no smog, just a egr and a couple of hoses really. Project l always liked your plenum, i saw it on cardomain even before i was a member here. My plenum, valve covers, egr, and alt are all gloss black now. I had alot of time during this cold weather to paint them. Ill shut up now,. getting off topic.
