wont idle well? high? low? whats it doing? and does the throttle stick at any spot or just WOT? try cleaning out the throttle body, it could be that the throttle plate has carbon build up and causing it to stick. need more info on the idle.

do you have to actually give it gas to start it when cold? Kinda sounds like the choke isn't working.
mine wouldn't idle when cold once, had to work the pedal to start it and keep it revved up. Was a bad temp sender. But that also set off a code.
I don't know if the IAC or TPS might do that to your idle when cold
possibility i guess

When its cold out side it take a min or so longer for the O2 sensor to get hot enough to work. So the computer goes into loop mode.
Just warm it up with your foot. Hold the RPMs at 2000+ for a min or two.
----
Mine does that when its cold. It will actually rev up in down while loop mode runs, 1000-1500 up n down, but once warm it runs smooth.
I can't stand that so before I go anywhere, I warm it up myself for a min. I hold the RPMs at 2000-2500 for a min or two and then go about my business. On really really cold days I'll wait till the temp needle moves a hair. So I get heat quicker.

For most of us COLD means COLD, as its winter out.

An O2 sensor still doesn't work till at operating temp, why newer cars have the 3 wire heated O2.
