i don't have a 3.4, so you may not want my input. but, if its stock, i'd guess mids 16s. that is, if rear end and all is stock too.

I'm having mine tuned tommorow. I'll G-tech it ASAP and let you know what kind of numbers to expect. All I have on mine is exhaust and a lightweight flywheel (unless you count suspension stuff). I know I ran exactly 9 seconds to 60 on a dying fuel pump, timing that was way off, and a severe lean condition. I anticipate at least a mid 8 second sprint. I plan on adding hedders, dumps, custom prom (as soon as I find a willing burner), and the twin ram intake from a previous post. Maybe I'll be able to hang with AM91 some day
. By the way, hey AM91, did you get a look at that post?

did i look at that post? the one about the intake on the fierro? yes, i did. i think it's awesome, looks kinda cool too in my opinion. i am really looking into making my own intake also but it will be nothing like that.
My 3.4 has surprised MANY Los Angeles communters off the traffic light! And that includes with passengers and stuff in car.
One new BMW 6-something probably returned that car to the showroom due to lack of off line acceleration. I think I surprised them during the BMW test drive around Santa Monica!
That's the best response I can offer.
I can say that if ya don't catch the engine right, the charge back to the lead, is a long one (BUT WAY QUICKER than a 2.8/3.1).
Do I win every race, nope, but sure is lots more fun trying.
Where I'm truly impressed with the 3.4 powertrain is in torque.
Long inclines that taxed the 2.8 are mere anthills now, and that is with my 3.4 Firebird car, AC running & loaded with passengers.
The 3.4 torque rules! Firebird feels like a freight train, so much power.
Gas milage is such a hugh increase with 3.4 power, too!
Soon I hope to go to Irwindale race track to see what the car does. Before I go, new U joints are needed, I feel.
Traffic light drag launches are the best.
I truly need to feather my gas pedal on take offs!

Hopefully I can soon properly answer this question. My other swap was into a truck, and I was disappointed in the power curves due to different gearing and radical cam differences.

3.4 & manula tranny will give an 3800 auto a run for the $$$, & depending on the mods, beat it significantly.

He has a point
The motor would be well mated to a 5 speed. And, advanced timing on these motors helps TONS. I set mine to standard today....killed my torque. I'm gonna run it on the G-tech "as is", and then advance the timing 2 degrees and run it again. I'll post all of the test tables so others may draw their own conclusions. An of you other 3.4L guys, do some testing. The more data we collect, the sooner we can help eachother with some good recipies for power. As for anyone with Prom burning experience in the V6 community, SOS!!!
Mine is bone stock 3.4 with more fresh outside air injested into the air cleaner.
And a better ignition system.
My timing is said to be at 14* (reported to me at a smog test time), but I don't use timing lights.

I say you'll be knocking on 16 second time frame door.
Depends on tranny doing well for ya during "abuse".
The 3rd Gen cars are "lighter" than a 4th Gen car.
Back in dark days of 70's emissions stuff, 16 second was considered "former supercar (1975-79 Trans Ams, Z-28, Corvette)" territory.
Air up your front tires (40 pounds or so) & unload all the stuff ya can (except over rear passenger tire) for "best" results.
