there was a company in canada i think that was working on a prototype but i'm not sure if it's ever made it to production. You could remove metal from your facotry setup, or try to invent (build) soething better using say an LS1 TB or so. Also saw someone who used a TPI DualButterfly TB and retrofitted it to the 2.8 intake. also saw someone who built a custom intake (it was ugly, but neat) had a set of dual tubes running the length of each cylinder bank, and two factory six TB's on the front of it...think it was in a fiero

Here's some ideas:

Go to a carburetor shop and have a butterfly cut to the size you want the bore. Get ahold of a cylinder bore a bit biggr than your current TB size. Remove the butterfly assembly and get to boring. Gains aren't going to be very noticable but, it will help some. Jerriko's TPI hybrid intake is a really good example of TB modification. The dual TB setup (the one on the Fiero with log runners), was also pretty neat, although a bit more involved. I'm geting ready to do my custom setup REAL soon as well. If you have a spare intake lying around, you can get as creative as you want. Do a search, you'll find a few posts about the science behind manipulating airflow.
