plenum bolts on a 2.8

plenum bolts on a 2.8

well i'm planning on doing the valve cover seals and i gotta take off the plenum to do it problem is they have these weird bolts on them and i can't find a socket to take them off.

anyone know what i need to do other then pick up a new set of bolts

my plenum only has normal 10mm bolts on it...

I think he is saying he has one of those crazy 2.8's with the 12 pt bolts on the plenum... Get yourself a 12pt 10mm socket and you're good to go.

I've seen three types 10mm 6 pt, 10mm 12pt, and allen head. When in doubt, use visegrips, LOL. Just kidding, you may just have stripped 12 pt ones.

I think there 12point 10mm's with an odd 6 point thrown in there at lest on mine.

I think only the 85s got the NORMAL 12pt bolts, unlike those funky, everybody & their mother has them, hex head bolts
