I need a camaro v6

would anybody be interested in changing your camaro for my firebird, the reason i want to change it is because, the importing laws in mexico don,t let you import a firebird to the contry becasu according to the it is a sport car, but the camaros can be imported, my firebird is red it is 89´v6 5 speed, it is in good shape, it has lether seats, its has arizona license plates.
I would really like to change it for a camaro v6, because next month I going to dental school and I need a v6 that i can legally drive it in mexico , I allready have a mexican trans am but it has a 350 engine , and thats not very good for a mexican student.

Im locaded 1 hour from tucson, in nogales sonora mexico.

if anybody is interested i can get a digital camara from a friend.

Even in Mexico?

That really sucks, PILU ... so there's no Firebirds at ALL in Mexico? Or is it a new law?

A bit of trivia I heard years back as to why the Chevrolet Nova never had good sales in Mexico-

Nova is supposed to mean "No Go" in Spanish.

No.. I've known that for years too.

PILU, I might be interested, but my V6 does need some work.. and no, the turbo kit does not go with it (I do still have all the parts, minus the exhaust, to convert it back to naturally aspirated.. could swap the exhaust from the firebird onto it.

On the bright side, I'm really close to Nogales.

Mexico can be odd, Greyfox... just.. odd. Mexican TA is a TA that was exported to Mexico by General Motors. In a way it's alot like the hell we have to go through in the US to get a Skyline or Lamborghini... 'cept it's a flat out 'no', to my knowledge.

PILU, taking this to PMs.

Places can be odd. It could be as simple as they do not like the name Firebird and who is gonna tell them different?

Dental school in Mexico? Id hate o be your patience.

Only kidding. My grandma live near Mexico in Zapata TX. She use to be right on Zapata lake till it dried up and now it about 100 yards away.

When the whole family got together their last time everyone got new glasses in Mexico as you can get hi dollar fashion frames and the whole works for $100 or less. Also lots of beer.

Mexico is like Walmart for Texans.

My neighbor used to go to San patuci (I'm positive that isn't spelled correctly), and bring back CASES of Corona, and those badarse 1 l cokes (Coke in Mexico tastes different than here to me)

They may use real sugar in Mexico. Id like to visit Plano TX as its the only place they makes DR pepper in its original form with real sugar. They license it to Pepsi and they use cheaper corn syrup.

Actually, now that you mention the dental school thing, that's kinda odd... there's a number of mexican dentists who got their degrees from US schools and went back to Mexico to practice because it's cheaper. Almost everyone in this part of southeast AZ goes to Mexico for dental work as a result... but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't go to a dentist with a mexican degree... (definition: cheaper -- insurance co-pays can cost more than the round-trip drive to Nogales, Naco, or Agua Prieta + cash over the counter).

PILU, Sierra Vista isn't on the way to Tucson... gotta go through Sonoita

Yeah I remenber, I will go to dental school in ciudad juarez thats the border with El Paso Texas, I have to pass sonoita.

TechSmurf ,

Im really interested in getting a camaro, maybe if you want I can take some pictures of my bird, and you can send me one of your camaro. I was planing to sell it , but nobody will buy a bird here in mexico.

And about all the comments of dental school here in mexico, I have no choize I have to go here because Im not legal to go to school in the USA, an here is for free.

Yeah the same thing, birds are kinda exotic here.

The true is that I really new a 4 cyl. or a 6cyl car that I can drive here in mexico without the danger that the mexican aduana officers take the car out of me to never see it again.

so if anybody is interested in changing any car for my bird im really interested.

I would sell it, but nobody is gona pay for a bird here in mexico.
