Thats what I was refering to in option 2 above. I'll cut an access panel in the top so I can bolt the top to the middle, then screw on the lid with a gasket or sealant to seal it.
As for the plenum tube your fabbing. I would suggest selling them on exchange basis(core charge) and having them welded up yourself as part of the package. I think people would spend the money to have you complete that for them. I personally don't think you'd have any takers if they had to perform the frabrication themselves to their own plenum. Most have only one car and can't afford to 1) experiment on something they probably aren't comfortable doing 2) can't afford to have the car down fro a week or so while finding someone to do this.

yea, i was thinking about the core thing too. that would almost be a neccessity.
