He's got to be slipping something fierce, or well out of tune! A 3.4 auto should be mid/low 16s?

i assume you are talking about a 5.0 camaro, right? the 305s are nothing if you ask me. some people like them and you can make them run good but if its a stock one, with some wear...it won't do much.

OH jeez, shoot me. I thought you meant a 5.0 '90 Fox body (Mustang).
Yeah, a 3.1 with a T5 will outrun a stock TBI 305. :P I imagine a 3.4 will REALLY whoop on one.

Also assumed the same
The .05 TBI are slow, i used to knwo a friend who had one, horrible on speed, my 2.8 with the WC T-5 killed it up. The 5.0 Mustang however goes good

If it was a 305 TBI car it was an easy kill.
But a 305 carbed car is another story. Buddy bought his woman a 3rd gen 305 carbed car and after a decent tune up and a rebuilt carb. That sucker hauled. From a dead stop it would just fry the tires and spin around in circles.

Not all 305 TBI easy kill
My brother had a '91 305 TBI auto. It was bone stock, but could move out really good. 0-60 was 7-8 seconds. Fuel mileage was in the low 20's too. No doubt a few performance upgrades could have made it even better.
