3.1 or 3.4 crank.
Then 3.1 pistons (bored to whatever you bore too).
Thats why everyone just says, get a 3.4. Its already bored and stroked.

that depends i could pull one for you for a fee, the engine would cost 100 bucks plus whatever you wanna pay me fora day in the cold at the yard lol, or you can get one already pulled for anywhere from 450 to 600, they had a few when i got mine

Does any one know the lonegest stroke the 2.8 - 3.4L can use. A custom crank might be a worthy mod. If I remember correctly the 3.1 and 3.4 had the same stroke but a larger bore.
You can get more TRQ by useing a longer stroke vs. going with a larger bore. You should be able to make more power from a 3.4 built with a longer stroke and the bore of a 2.8 or 3.1.
Maybe a 3.4 crank with shorter rods would be chearper way to go. maybe even get more than a 3.4, but I am not sure how to calculate displacment.
