pacesetter headers. i found some on ebay and some on summit. i think ill go with summit since there about $30 cheaper. also they say 85-89 or 90 only the should fit the 91-92 3.1 v6. i think the only difference is the smog pump or something.

yea, they'll fit the 91s and 92s also. the pacesetters should definately be good headers. i like what i've heard about them so far. i'm tempted to get a set sometime and try them over my hookers...

the egr hook up is different since the 3.1s run an electronic egr. dale has a 91 or 92, but he has deleted his egr valve so he can use these headers without a problem. but i am almost positive the mounting is different for them. oh and they may be on hold for a lil while, last i heard they were redoing the headers to fit around the longer oil filter. when i put mine on, i had to go to the short filter, the long one laid right on the header.

i thought that i had heard that all of the egrs mount to the manifold/header the same way. does the older one have two bolts holding it?

my egr would have went on just fine. In fact its on garage floor after testing it.
I used same block of plate.
DIGITAL EGR WILL WORK ON THESE!!
its the smog pump hookups thats the issue.

thanks for clarifying dale. i thought they were different bolt ups. now that i think about it, it does make sense for the guys who have done the 2.8/3.1 swaps. as ive learned, make sure to get the wire harness out of the way on the passenger side when installing the header. itll melt really quick as i almost found out, lol. i havent had a chance to really run them... and wont till probably april, dang michigan weather. but, from running it in the body shop, i can hear a difference and i cant wait to feel a performance difference on the street.

the filter sits right on the header and is really hard to remove. last i heard they had stopped making them for now until they redo the design. youd have to email fred gerle at pacesetter and see how progress is coming. his email address is posted in the sticky at the top of this forum.
