*HELP* Car dying while i'm driving

Like the title says My car has been dying while i'm driving it and has almost caused an accident. It's happend 4 times the past two days, twice each day.
Yesterday
1. I turned into my driveway and was coasting up to my spot and it died.
2. I was going to work. Slowed from 45 top turn into the parking lot and it died while i was turning.
Today
1. Once again I was turning onto a street and it died midturn.
2. I was driving through my neighborhood. going about 20 not giving it any gas. Going straight. I went to speed up and realized it had once again died.

I did notive that the tube from the valve cover to the intake tube wasn't properly connected. Could thid have been my problem??
Also I hydroplaned into a curb about 2 weeks ago. and had to have my oil pan replaced, new wheel, centerlink, and tire end rod.

Just a thought, you could start by checking all of your battery connections, esp. at from the batt to the front junction block to make sure you haven't pulled a lead out of it's crimp ?

I'm thinking maybe you don't have a battery support so that heavy battery is sliding and yanking on cables when you turn / go up inclines ?

Sounds like an ECM related malfunction since it is doing it at low rpms. My car did this when the MAF was going bad. I didn't have any trouble codes either.

Good call, also check for corrosion under the dizzy cap, and inbetween terminals.

We replaced the distributor cap and rotor when I got it, just about 1yr ago. I'll check it.

If your car restarts it's not the ICM.
Now a loose conncetion, sure but not ICM.
NOW Alternator could be flaking. My flaking alternator was giving out high voltage spikes (even while driving) that were shorting out the ICM. I went thru 6 ICMs in about 14 months. Until I caught the alternator making noise.

It could be the dreaded fuel pump.
When back there replace everything.
Drop tank, do it right & it sucks but proper replacement pays hugh dividends. Like fuel milage, too. And with best wishes of the Indian Chief Pontiac, Never returning to that fuel pump project again.

I have an 86 firebird and I used to have the same problems. The car was originally my grandmother’s car (bought it used) and she gave it to my dad and then he gave it to me--it was nothing but problems. You would be driving along and all of the sudden the car would just die, when you try to start it; sometimes it would start and sometimes it wouldn't start at all. It was not an issue with the battery because lights and everything else would work fine. After months of dealing with it and running out of free tows on his plan he parked it. He worked on it, he changed a laundry list of things that he thought could be causing the problem. He finally gave up. He left the car sitting for about 8 or so years, then I got older and started driving and he gave it to me on the condition that I would fix it up and take care of it. I got it on the road and it ran fine for quite a while with no problems--then it started again. Then one day, just on a hunch we happened to look at the coil and saw that both tabs on both the connectors on the coil had been broken off. The engine vibrations would cause the connectors to come off just enough so the contacts would not make contact with the coil and the car would stall. We replaced both the connectors and have had no problems since. Since then the car has turned out to be a very reliable car; hasn’t left me stranded in a while (knock on wood). This is a serious problem with a lot of cars, we recently got a 84 1/2 mustang--had the same problem, 91 camaro rs--same problem. It may not be your problem in this case but it’s always something to check. Hope that helps

Btw I'm new here.
