clicking sound
My engine has always has a clicking sound, and now that I have had my exhaust manifold repaired, it is a lot more noticable and annoying. The clicking loudness and timing is variable, both of which increase as rpm increases. I was thinking a tapping lifter or a rocker needing tightening...any opinions?
Don't laugh at this but also be prepared to run it until it dies. Car/engine is 20 years old and these little engines do not last forever.
IF your oil pressure is ok & your temps stay "normal" leave it be.
UNLESS you have a cracked exhaust manifold. Then replace that. But usually just drive it until it dies.

I totally agree with that I guess...it isn't bothering me that much and I don't plan to be running the car that much longer...8 months at most

I had the same problem with my '90 F-150 and had it with my '90 Firebird. Some guy told me it was my lifters and try Engine Restore. It cost about 10 bucks at any Wally World and I use it with every oil change. Worked for me.

I'm not a mechanic but I think the 1st number represents the flow rate at normal/colder tempatures and the 2nd number represents flow rate at operating tempatures. So if thats correct (please someone correct me) going to 10 30 won't make a difference. Myself I just switched over to synthetic.
