Dynomax SuperTurbo exhaust
I've read pleanty of good reviews on the Dynomax Super Turbo exhaust system on this site, so I've decided I'm going to go ahead and order it from Summit.
I really want to know what it sounds like, been searching and can't find any sound files on the 'net. Any of y'all have a soundclip I could listen to?

I don't have a soundclip (yet) but I just purchased the Dynomax cat-back for my newly purchased '88 IROC-Z. I know it'll sound different on my car 'cause it's a 5.7L but for what it's worth, here goes.
The car's idle is a lot deeper than before. Not louder mind you, just deeper sounding. (That's definetely a good thing 'cause I've grown tired of driving really loud car's - see my LT1 firebird in my sig.
)
I guess the best word to describe the sound is - "mellow"
Cruising around town and you can barely notice any difference in the overall volume. Very subdued actually. As a matter of fact, it may even be a bit quiter than stock but that's probably because my old muffler was nearly 18 years old
Even at wide open throttle, it's not that loud. Nothing like, say, a Flowmaster or Hooker. It's louder than stock for sure, but it's got a really nice tone to it with absolutely no raspiness at all (DEFINETELY a good characteristic in my opinion). No popping on de-acceleration either, just a nice clean, refined sound.
I got a substansial increase in power as well but my scenerio is a little different then most. The previous owner (or the guy's at the dealer) threw on an exhaust welded together using various sized piping. My Y pipe went from 3" down to 2.5 for the cat (which looked like it came off a honda - way too small) down to 2 .25" half way through the intermediate pipe.
The other half went down to 2" and then to 1 5/8"
just before the rear axle. From there they welded it onto the stock muffler with some sort of half-@ss'd adapter !!
Clearly it was a huge restriction so the full 3" Dynomax, obviously, helped out tremendously.
I couldn't be happier with this exhaust. It's got a nice deep rumble and ther's no drone in the car out on the free-way. It doesn't attract the cop's attention and I don't have ri-cers's pulling up to me at every stoplight wanting to race me
The super turbo muffler's out-flow Flowmaster's "80 series" by a huge margine (I'm sure all you Flowmaster guys will love hearing that
) and is, at worst, equal to hooker's Aerochamber muffler's - in respect to how well it flows.
I'm sure you'll fell a noticible difference inperformance in your day-to-day driving.
(GMHTP magazine put this same exhaust on a 3rd gen Firebird and picked up 2 tenth's in the 1/4 mile. That's a huge improvement and proof of this system's great performance)
I'm assuming you'll get similar results from this system on your car aswell. I hope that's what you were looking for. Hope your happy with your new purchase.
Hope this helps a bit.
I'll post some pic's soon and get a sound clip !

ive got the catco cat. fits great, get that when you get the catback. i noticed, once it broke in, a nice difference in tone. nice low sound for a v6, especially at idle.

Pace Setter Exhaust makes the headers and also pipes & mufflers.
I went with a Magnoflow direct fit CC from Summit for $113 price.
My stock muffler is from Walker, who also makes Dynoflow.
I've got Dynoflows on my Vette & they sound just fine.
V6s have "hard time" sounding right due to lack of cubic inches!
At idle they're ok & generally when ya step on it, it "sounds like a 6" which isn't so bad, either.
I have a flowmaster on my other V6 & it's just slightly too loud for my taste. And in teh "echo chamber of my 85 Blazer, that does "make a difference"
Until it rusts out, my mufflers work fine.
